In this course, one can learn about the multi-faceted perspectives of rural development as it focuses on the various aspects such as rural development theories, policies, planning, NGOs in rural areas, agriculture, rural entrepreneurship, innovations and many others. The teaching and research programme of the department is based on a comprehensive rural approach that integrates and interrogates rural, sociological, economic, philosophical and cultural dimensions. It encourages a comprehensive study in the field of rural development especially keeping in mind the Indian rural society. We are the only institute offering this course in the state.
